About Us

The Sanmati Shikshan Sahakari Samiti Ltd, Shedbal established in the year 1951. As per the wish of the Shri.C.A. Jamkhandimath then Registrar, Co- operative Societies Govt.of Karnataka, the Sanmati came into registered under the co-operative Act. It is the first ever co-operative society to dedicate itself to the noble cause of education. Our college is run by S.S.S.Samiti’s Ltd,Shedbal.Selfless dedicated fellowmen’s started our college in 1968 at Shedbal ,with obvious intention of bringing higher education to the door step of those in that border rural area. Due to severe drought in 1972 in Athani Taluka, Belagavi District, our college came to be shifted to the Belagavi City in 1973.Since, then, we have never lookback.
Our college is now one of the Premier Educational Institutions in the Belagavi City, in fact, ours is the only purely commerce college in Belagavi City.

Considering ever increasing demand for PG course in Commerce our Management started M. Com, PG course from the academic year 2010-11,
since its inception the results are 100%. And at UG level also there is an upward trend in the results every year.We have outstanding students who score 100 out 100 in various subjects at University exams.Our college every year produces more number of University Blues .Zonal inter-collegiate Tournaments are organized by our college every year.

The physical in fracture is spread over 2 acres 30 guntas where in adequate learning resources are provided for the overall growth development. In the last 5 years the college has upgraded its infrastructure learning resources like
construction of Modern Auditorium Hall I.e. Shri Manjunath Multi-Purpose Hall at 3 rd floor of the main building. A well-equipped Computer Lab with 100 computers with power backup. Latest configuration has enabled effective Teaching learning process. Our college also has a 12 station Gym for our students who have urge to build their sports career.
