PGDCA - Course Structure

COURSE STRUCTURE

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) is a Two Semester Course of one Year duration with an examination at the end of each semester. Each Semester consist of five Theory Papers (With one Elective) and two practical papers based on theory papers.

ELIGIBILITY ADMISSION:

As a rule, all applications are considered on a competitive basis. The number of students to be admitted is limited. A candidate who has passed a Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 45% marks in any discipline is eligible for admission to this course.

In case of S.C. & S.T. students eligibility condition shall be as fixed by the Rani Chennamma University from time to time.

SELECTION PROCESS:
STAGE-I

Admission to this course shall be strictly on merit i.e. on the basis of the performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted by UD. All the aspiring candidates will have to qualify through this Entrance test designed and administered by the institute.

STAGE-II
PRACTICAL AND APTITUDE TESTS:

Aspiring candidates will be short- listed on the basis of their performance and only such candidate will be informed of the date and time of the Practical and Aptitude Tests.

STAGE- III

The short - listed candidates will be called for an interview and those adjudged successful will be eligible to seek admission to the course.

FEE STRUCTURE:

A) Candidates Selected on merit by the Rani Chennamma University, Belgaum, will have to pay as course fee as Per University norms.
B) Under the Management Quota- candidates selected on the basis of merit as per the Selection Procession mentioned above will have to remit as course fee Rs. 20,000/-

VALUATION AND CERTIFICATION:

As the course is affiliated to the Rani Chennamma University, Belgaum, Examinations will be conducted at the end of each Semester by the University itself.

MODE OF PASSING:

1)Successful candidates scoring 70% and above shall be deemed to have passed in First Class with Distinction.
2)Successful candidates scoring 60% and above but less than 70% shall be deemed to have passed in First class.
3)Successful candidates scoring 50% and above but less than 60% shall be deemed to have passed in Second class.
4)Successful candidates scoring 40% but less than 50% shall be deemed to have passed in pass class.
